Community Sponsorships

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is a proud supporter of many great events and organizations in our community. We have two sources for community organizations seeking funding: Community Investments and Marketing Sponsorships. Please apply to only one of the funding sources. If your organization is supported by one, it will not be supported by the other.

Community Investments

Community Investments are donations that support organizations working to positively impact our prioritized community health needs, based on our most recent Community Health Needs Assessment. Our primary goal is to make a difference in the lives of people, and in particular, the underprivileged of our community.

The IRS has specific guidelines for nonprofit health systems on how community investment funds are spent and what is considered charitable. In order to be considered for an investment opportunity, the following guidelines must be met:

  • Must be a 501(c)(3)
  • Must be working to positively impact a prioritized need identified in our 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment
  • Funds must be directed to program services rather than fundraising events
  • Request cannot have a primary marketing purpose
  • Must have a health or wellness tie-in

Marketing Sponsorships

Marketing Sponsorships are opportunities that result in a mutually beneficial partnership, help build the Roper St. Francis Healthcare brand and tie into our system’s goals and marketing strategies. Applications are evaluated against several criteria, and we primarily focus on events that are health or wellness-related.

Currently we are not accepting proposals for:

  • Individual requests such as personal scholarships
  • School-affiliated advertising
  • Donor appreciation galas or black-tie events
  • Political events/dinners
  • Golf tournaments

Marketing requests are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Event sponsorships must be submitted no later than 60 days prior to the event.
