Nursing care

Nursing care at Roper St. Francis Healthcare is:

  • Patient centered
  • Values-oriented
  • Delivered according to professional standards by well-trained, engaged nurses

Our shared governance councils engage clinical nurses to participate in and lead decision-making processes based on documented evidence, promoting optimal care for our patients and an ideal work environment. Each of our hospitals has a shared governance structure in place; in addition, three system-wide councils exemplify inter-hospital collaboration:

  • The Roper St. Francis Professional Practice Council, the purpose of which is to improve nursing practice across our system by coordinating clinical practice initiatives identified by councils at the hospital level.
  • The Roper St. Francis Nursing Research Council, which provides mentoring, education and support in the nursing research process for all system nurses.
  • The Roper St. Francis Clinical Informatics Planning and Advisory Council, which reviews and provides input for current and future clinical information systems, ensuring the seamless integration of electronic information to provide all practitioners with an accurate, real-time clinical status of patients.

If you share our mission of healing all people with compassion, faith and excellence, please join us for an opportunity to reach your career’s highest potential.
